HIGHLIGHTS:
Compact, powerful and widely regarded as one of the last true driver-focused hot hatchbacks from BMW, the BMW M140i combines everyday practicality with serious performance from its turbocharged inline-six engine. As part of the final rear-wheel-drive BMW 1 Series lineup, the M140i has become increasingly sought after among enthusiasts who appreciate its balance of usability and engaging driving dynamics.
Presented here is a 2017 BMW M140i 3.0, owned for around 10 years by its first owner, who originally purchased the car brand new in the UK before bringing it to Malaysia in 2020. The car has travelled 73,622 km, with the last service completed in March 2026, and is reported to be accident-free and flood-free. A number of tasteful upgrades have been carried out over the years, including Bilstein B12 Pro suspension with B8 dampers and Eibach springs, Quaife ATB helical LSD, M2 lower control arms and tension struts, OEM underbody brace, M Performance front grille and a custom M3 CSL wheel alignment setup.
Further enhancements include a custom high-end audio system featuring Eton speakers and woofers, Helix DSP processor, Alpine and Kenwood amplifiers, and a JL Audio subwoofer housed in a bespoke fibreglass enclosure. Performance upgrades include MHD Stage 1 engine flash producing approximately 400 bhp and XHP Stage 3 transmission tuning, complemented by a hot-climate air intake and previously replaced exhaust backbox under warranty. In Malaysia, the car received paint and rim touch-ups with a 3-layer glass coating, window tinting, Viofo 4K front and rear dashcams, matte black badges, and a new front windscreen, along with replacement wheel sensors, brake pads and an air-conditioning cooling coil.
Our inspection indicates the vehicle remains in overall good running condition, with the bodywork, mechanical components and interior presenting well.
