Presented here is a 1984 Toyota Corolla AE86 Levin 1.6 Manual, originally finished in Solid Red and later repainted to black. Owned for the past 12 years by its current owner, this example reflects long-term enthusiast ownership. It is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and features a Kouki Levin interior conversion, including sport seats, along with a Nardi Classic steering wheel and TRD gear knob. Performance and reliability upgrades include a K&N open pod filter, FGK 4-1 exhaust manifold with custom piping, and an upgraded 3-core copper radiator. The suspension has been enhanced with custom adjustable coilovers, KYB shocks paired with TRD springs, and a Cusco front strut bar. The car retains many of its original exterior elements, including the front and rear bumpers, headlight and taillight sets, and side skirts, complemented by a Japan-market rear ducktail spoiler and aftermarket bronze wheels.
From our observation, the car presents as a project-oriented example with clear signs of age and use. The current paintwork will benefit from a repaint, while the interior shows notable wear including missing door card trims, a cracked dashboard, worn steering wheel, and a damaged driver seat bolster. Rubber seals around the doors are dry-rotted, the headliner is missing, and the rear interior shows heavy staining or possible past water exposure. Mechanically, the car was last serviced in December 2025 and is expected to run, though as with most classics of this nature, further recommissioning and restoration work should be anticipated.
